Welcome to the Official Website of Cardigan Running Club

Founded in 1994 by a group of enthusiastic runners the club has grown and now has a stable membership of around thirty runners. The club is of mixed ability and competes on the road, trail, hill and cross country from 5km to Marathon. We might not be one of the largest clubs in Wales but we are one of the friendliest with the emphasis on enjoying the sport of running and a lively social scene. Our Club night is 7.30pm on Wednesdays at Cardigan lesuire centre, where we run and train together and we promote six events over the course of the season. Membership costs £5 for the year. If you would more information about joining please contact Jane Buck

Mud, Leaves and Loads of Water at Llys Y Fran (13th of November)
Despite being held under blue skies the record 84 strong field had to endure probably the worst underfoot conditions in the races history. Heavy rain over the preeceeding weeks had turned the course into a quagmire of mud and leaves with calf high puddles a prominent feature. Despite the tricky conditions the race was keenly contested with Andrew Abbott (Sarn Helen Lampeter) and Claire Cleathero (TROTS) eventually winning out over the 6 mile course.

Sarn Helen also claimed the mens team prize with Pemb Harriers winning the Ladies team race. The Full Race Results are now available in MS format Excel on this site, photos of the winners will also be available later on this week. The Club would like to thank all the runners and their supporters who braved the condtions and made the race a resounding success. Running is alive and well in West Wales
